Elegant SS stylingA stylish grinder for the serious coffee buff, this Cuisinart Supreme Grind automatic burr mill provides plenty of options and good results in an attractive and tidy structure. This makes it a great appliance for houses where coffee is a steady dietary staple and preferences vary from espresso to French drip. Outfitted with a heavy-duty motor, the machine has 18 grind settings ranging from fine to extra-coarse, which are controlled by a clearly marked, pleasantly clicking dial. Rotate the hopper to personal preference, and the machine does the rest, using burr plates for a highly uniform grind that protects bean oils and releases more flavor. Automatic operation in this grinder covers quantity as well--simply set the amount slide control anywhere from 4 to 18 cups. The grinder shuts off when the desired level is reached. Transfer of ready grounds to a coffee pot or espresso group is quick and tidy, because the grind chamber slides out with its clever lid in place.
Smart and elegant, the grinder has brushed stainless steel housing and black accents in durable plastic. love this product. wish it had a pulse type button though to grind just that little bit more, but still very efficient and sleek.

Absolute waste of money!
This unit has all the features you would want.......but it isn't worth buying!
It is so noisy it scares my grandsons (me too)!
On the same setting it would grind anywhere from a couple TBSP to a full bin.....no rhyme or reason!
No matter what setting it was on, it created everything from talcum powder fine dust to coarse grounds and everything in between!
The flakes and dust were all over the area in my kitchen where I used it after just 10-12 uses!
Thankfully, I bought it at a place that has a liberal return policy.

Excellent grinder. Lets me select specific grind, large top filling area for coffee and
lidded box for ground coffee - stays fresher. Is VERY LOUD when grinding. My ancient 30
year old grinder (which finally broke down) was just as loud - I suspect that grinding hard coffee beans is always a
loud task. Aside from the noise, which may be impossible to avoid, I would give this grinder 5 stars.

i couldn't be more disapointed. the first one failed. wouldn't start. this newest one failed this morning. it didn't grind evenly ever. finely at 2 above the fine setting it was getting ok for cone filter. tossed the box after i sent the first one back as i wrongly thought, what are the odds that i can get two pieces of junk in a row. on the plus side, it was, for it's too short life, neat as far as grounds on the counter is concerned. i liked that. and amazon was great, as always. nothing else to say about this waste of time and money except don't bother.

We purchased this burr mill three years ago in February and it just gave out. We had to take the beans out and finish them in our tiny Krups coffee grinder which still works just fine after 25 years. We sure expected Cuisinart to last longer! It did a good job of grinding beans to the fineness we liked and we enjoyed being able to grind just before brewing but it was sad to pitch such a relatively new appliance.
