This is truly the very best espresso/cappuccino/latte maker available; the fact that it's about $1,000 CHEAPER than those super-digital-auto espresso makers is just icing on the cake - honestly!
The machine works perfectly and consistently, cup after cup, and makes both regular one-shot-at -a-time and 2.25 xs-sized "lungo"-sized portions with virtually perfect precision. And it takes only about 30 SECONDS to clean - total, daily!
The proprietary coffee pods, sold only by Nespresso, are *truly* vacuum packed with a fine aluminum shell that has a fine and precisely-made paper filter (designed exclusively for proper espresso production) built into each pod. Although each pod costs $0.55 - for either the regular or "lungo" size pods (special varieties are about $0.10 more), and you have to order at least 50 (10 per box = 5 boxes) per order, Nespresso's shipping and handling fee is a flat $6.95 (second-day UPS shipping is standard for this fee) no matter how large the order. The coffee in them is TRULY the very best, very consistent, and NEVER from even ONE bad bean, and thanks to the vacuum manufacturing process and aluminum pod casings it does NOT require freezer storage NEVER goes bad for up to a full year. Although Nespresso has a multitude of varieties and roasts available, most people will want the traditional "Ristretto" (darkest and most finely ground espresso pods), "Fortissio Lungo" (the darkest of the slightly coarser-ground "lungo" sized pods), and/or their decaffeinated equivalents ("Decaffeinato Intenso" and "Decaffeinato Lungo"). Coffee order processing is COMPLETED virtually IMMEDIATELY (within hours) if ordered during the regular business week/hours, and when they say UPS 2nd Day delivery they MEAN it - for example, if you order on Wednesday during business hours you WILL receive it that Friday
The "Aeroccino Plus" milk frother/steamer (heater, really) is quite a remarkable, ingeniously designed device that enables you to make a PERFECT (and I *mean* PERFECT) latte or cappuccino EVERY time - and with the least amount of effort or cleanup (again, about 30 SECONDS TOTAL DAILY to clean!). However, due to its unique design it requires a certain minimum amount of fat content in the milk to produce fully-frothed heated milk for cappuccino; thus, whole milk is required for cappuccino (reduced or non-fat is fine for those who prefer it for lattes) - but as the frother whips the milk up to 3-to-5 times its original volume, fat content per serving is negligible. Non-heated whipping is selectable as well.
If you are an espresso or cappuccino lover you will LOVE this system and equipment package. It makes it perfectly and consistently, each and every time. I have never regretted purchasing it, nor do I know anyone who has. And at Amazon's current sale price of $220 for the package, it's a price that trust me can NOT be beat (I paid $60 more).

this is worth every penny. I haven't even tried all the flavors yet. I stopped going to starbucks because of the fine quality of esspesso drinks that I can make with this unit

My wife and I began looking for a mid-range Espresso machine this year. We were looking at Brevilles and low end Gaggias. We bought - and quickly returned a Cafe Roma. After much researching and testing, we had about decided you could not get quality espresso for under $700-800. A store clerk at an upscale kitchen store where we were looking at machines asked if we had considered the Nespresso. We smiled and said we wanted a "real" espresso machine. She talked us into just trying a cup. We were absolutely amazed. A perfect cup of espresso - from a capsule machine??? We bought the C-100 Essenza with the Aeroccino and have never been happier with a purchase. My 16 YO son can make me a perfect cappuccino!!! No mess. No fuss. Fast & easy. Great coffee. Everything we needed.
Since then, we had to buy one for my parents and sister. They all went gagga over it. Soon we will have one at the office (we have to use up a big box of ESE espresso pods before we make the switch - because no one will use them after trying the Nespresso).
This morning I got up early to make an early meeting. How nice it was to roll bleary-eyed into the kitchen, warm a cup, pull a beautiful Lungo and drink it within 2-3 minutes... Wow...
