We just received the SDC740B Black & Decker Spacemaker 12 cup programmable Under The Cabinet Coffeemaker.
The directions did NOT work for us and we are very experienced Do-It-Yourself homeowners! We have an overhang with our kitchen cabinets and NOTHING!, per Black & Decker directions worked!!! We had to come up with a completly different way of attaching to cabinet. The METRIC!!!!!, screws were NOT long enough and we could not find any metric, that were the right length. We FINALLY did get the unit up but unless you are VERY experience in coming up with different ideas, DO NOT order this unit.

Very convenient to fill and takes up less counter space. Like the clock and lights that stay lit.

I have always had black & decker spacemaker coffee makers and love them. i don't like having to mount them however, and every time you have to drill different holes in your cabinet, but other than that it is an excellent product. i've had one that lasted 10 years before it burnt out but this last one only lasted about 3, so we will see how this newly designed one does. i love the design and bought the matching coffee grinder/food processor.

Great replacement for former great model. Previous model lasted more than 10 years. Don't know how everyone else finds room on their counters for all that "stuff." Great to get this out of the work area.

I'm happy with the fact that it doesn't sit on my counter. It is difficult to fill the water container. My biggest problem was the first time I attempted to make coffee, when the unit got hot, the carafe broke. I called the Black and Decker to obtain a new carafe and they were out of stock NATIONALLY and unavailable until the end of April! I received the coffeemaker at the beginning of March! I asked B&D if they would open another coffeemaker to replace my carafe and they wouldn't do that! My belief is, make the customer happy! The carafe still hasn't arrived, I have to purchase coffee on my way into work! Very disappointing to think B&D would rather have a customer wait because they would not replace a carafe until more are made. Is that good customer service?
