I like the coffee maker, however I wish it had a light at the dispenser as it is hard to see when my cup is filled. I would have liked a light on the glass water filling tube and coffee remaining site. The maker does make fast, hot and delicious coffee.A few lights and I think the Cuisinart Dcc- 2000, Coffee On Demand would have easily had 5 stars.

I have owned two of these Cuisinart coffee makers. I love the machine. I don't mind that I supplied the plastic 2c container to fill the system. It makes great coffee. It is really easy to use. It works fast and I have my coffee ready without waiting long. There are a few drawbacks. One it does not accept many of the taller mugs that are out there. My husband is 6'1 and without bending over quite a bit he cannot tell when his cup is filled. Also, though I clean the machine with vinegar my first machine stopped working after 2yr. Good news as Cuisinart was very courteous and sent out a replacement. I was informed that they would not do it again if the next machine failed within the warranty period. Sure enough it is two years later and now I use vinegar before every machine use daily. I believe the problem is the sensor is located in the bottom of the reservoir. Perhaps a new design for the sensor or another placement would help. I do love the machine however, I don't feel a faulty design should cause the manufacturer to void their warranty. I am currently looking for another machine and doubt that I will use a Cuisinart again due to the high failure rate and manufacturer decision to not support the warranty.

I love this coffee maker. The coffee stays in the holding tank and stays fresher and hot longer. This product is clean and neat, easy on the eye. I don't have to look at a pot with left over coffee when I get home from work if I do not have time to empty the pot before leaving. I don't have to clean the glass coffee pot every day and worry with the glass getting broken in the sink or dishwasher.

I have a Cuisinart DCC-2000 which runs coffee all over the counter. I make the coffee and turn the pot off, then pour single cups and heat them in the microwave throughout the day because I worry about electrical fires if the pot is left on. I pour one cup, then make sure the pour lever is off. It can be off for hours, and then all of a sudden the pour lever just turns on by itself and a whole pot of coffee pours all over the counter. This d*mn maker cost over $100. The coffemaker is a piece of crap. The coffee was barely warm when it first is made, and every pot after that never was very hot, and then it cools off so fast that it's cold in minutes, but I kept it because I heat coffee in the microwave any way. This last problem of it running all over the counter just p*sses me off. I've only had it four months and use it very little. It's like new. Plus the warranty requires we keep the original receipt. I had dozens of items on the first receipt and wound up taking another item back and they kept the receipt by mistake. So warranty-wise, even though I sent the filled out warranty in, I'm told they won't honor it. I guess mine goes in the trash and I NEVER buy another Cuisinart product again.

Same problem as everyone else: loved it while it worked, but after a couple of years it started acting up, refusing to actually turn on and brew coffee.
