This item is absolutely great at receiving freshly brewed coffee from a coffemaker, storing it for a period of time and dispensing it into a cup. In fact, it's so versatile that it can hold other liquids, recently extracted teeth or just about anything that can fit in the equivalent of 12 small cups. Bring one along to an outdoor rock concert if you're taken short...
However, there are limitations to this product. As a shaving device, for example, it can't quite compete with a razor blade. After a week of using this thing to shave with, I found I had a significant growth of beard. Also, it's not a viable alternative to the Space Shuttle, and it's not much use as a musical instrument unless you're tapping out the cowbell intro to "Honky Tonk Women" with a spoon.
Still, as a receptable for warmed up, caffeinated beverages it can't be beaten!

Just what I was looking for. I broke my coffee pot during Christmas by mistake. I am happy I was able to find the replacement on amazon. Amazon is great.

I bought this to replace one I had broken after ony using a few months. The glass is thin and my first one cracked easily so you need to be very careful with the glass. If there had been a stainless one, I would have gone with it instead. Also, I wish it had come in white since that is the color of my coffeemaker.

I love my Mr Coffee pot & was upset when the decanter shattered in my hand one day while washing it. i looked everywhere for a replacement & couldn't find one any where, so I had put the coffee maker in the box to be donated to charity, until i realized i hadn't looked on Amazon.com... woohoo! my favorite coffee maker is back on my kitchen counter!

This is my second and final replacement I will be ordering. The original one broke so easily after bumping it on the side of the sink while being washed. Since my machine had only been in use a few months I decided to just order another one. Here I am just over two months later ordering another because it was cracked after it bumped into a coffee cup when it was being picked up from the drying rack! I'm hoping #3 will last longer because I cannot justify the increasing cost to have my current machine. Terribly annoying as I've tried to be extra careful with it. The glass is just terribly thin and as others have stated water and soap suds do get caught up inside the black ring that surrounds the top. It requires extra rinsing and some interesting maneuvers in order to get it all rinsed out.
